Circulars
The program consists of collecting and transforming plastic waste from the Port of Barcelona to promote the circular economy. The waste will be collected, cleaned and pelletised to create by-products that can be reintroduced, as a priority, into the consumption cycle of the Port. The project develops a ship geolocation system that is much more accurate and faster than current maritime control systems.
Cranes²
The project aims to analyse the operational environment and evaluate multisensory perception technologies (LiDAR, cameras, radar and sensors) to detect the presence of personnel in risk areas and improve safety during operations, contributing to incident prevention.
CLIPER
The project quantifies the impact of climate events on port operations and their value chain. The analysis covers container operations and intermodal logistics across two time horizons, 2026 and 2050, and provides a quantified estimate of operational and economic impact that enables resilience investments to be prioritized with sound criteria.
